GVSM - Gipping Valley silty micaceous ware
Abundant fine–medium sub-rounded sand (clear/white/grey), occasional mica and chalk, voids with ferrous staining. Hard, buff or grey surfaces, grey core. Appears rough and sandy on the surfaces, but the core is silty with very few quartz grains, and often streaked with white clay bands. Possibly SKTHOLL variant.
Sample from Claydon.
